This photo depicts the "fairy tale estate" (Märchensiedlung) in the Berlin borough of Neukölln. Built in the late 1920s, this neighborhood became the outer edge of West Berlin as the Berlin Wall was built only a stone's throw away. The subtle structure of this print's fine cotton paper compliments the facade's light-grazed texture.
